How You’re Designed To Make Decisions That Are Best For You - v2

July 02, 20246 min read

Where you are right now is based on a series of decisions that you’ve made or about to make. And whether the decisions are good or bad, or bad at the time then turned out to be good it’s led you some where.

Which means, our decisions are a huge part of creating our reality, because we decide to,

  • step into to earn what we want to earn

  • “believe” that energy is there or not

  • what skillsets we need to acquire to get to our next level

  • take action on something or do nothing

  • create boundaries or let them be stepped all over

Each of these decisions leads you down a path and your results (or reality)

So it’s pretty important to understand how you make decisions, right?

Each of us was naturally born with our own decision making process, however we’ve also been conditioned to disconnect from that.

We’ve been conditioned to make decisions from our heads and minds, by taking data in, analyzing, weighing out the risks, then making a decision from there.

However, that’s backwards.

Our heads and minds take in the data, process’ the data, then filters through our current beliefs, THEN… we allow our “body’s” to make the decision.

For example,

Have you ever had a “gut” feeling about something but you made a decision from your head? Then it turned out to be a pretty bad decision?

There are 8 possible ways you make decisions, this is how you were born to make decisions.

On your Human Design chart it’s what we call your “Authority” this is where you want to run everything by, especially the big decisions.

Emotional Authority

If your chart says you’re an emotional authority, this means, you have your Emotion center (Solar Plexus defined), and how you make good decisions for yourself is NOT on the spot.

Because you have emotional waves.

For an emotional authority to make good aligned decisions is honor yourself a day or a week to allow your emotional waves and the ups and downs of your feelings process with the decision you need to make.

Oftentimes, you’re a “sleep on it” person to get clarity because your decision should be the same no matter what emotional wave you’re going through.

There are 3 types of emotional waves for you.

The Individual Wave - You get High Highs, and Low Lows

Normally this means you have a lot of channels connected to from the solar plexus to the root center.

And you will have days where your energy tanks depending on your waves, which tells you to back off and take some time off, do what gives you the signature feeling or do the easier things.

And other times, you feel like you’re floating with high-highs, which is time to allow yourself to pursue the big stuff that allows you to grow.

Your decisions should be the same answer no matter the ups and downs.

Collective Wave - Slow ride up, Deep plummet and start all over again

This is a slow ride up on your emotions, the there’s a sudden drop in your mood. And suddenly things can feel chaotic.

With this type of wave, you want to make sure your decision is the same either while you’re on your ride up or down.

Tribal Wave - Small Undulations

With a tribal wave you don’t have as many ups and downs, this wave has small downs and for the most part is stable or even keel throughout.

This means, you don’t have to wait that long relative to the other waves.

However, the relationships around you affect your energy so it’s important to separate their energy and your energy when making a decision for yourself.

Sacral Authority

If you have Sacral authority this means you’re designed to make quick decisions from the gut. And the more experience you’ve gone through with personal life, problems, business etc… the stronger and quicker your decision making is.

The decision making comes out as a Yes or No reaction that occurs independently of your mind and instead comes out as a quick hell yes and  physical feeling of joy or excitement.

For Sacral authorities it’s best if you ask yourself YES or NO type questions when making decisions due to how you’re designed.

Splenic Authority

For Splenic authorities, you make good decisions based on being in the moment and sometimes spontaneous. This differs from the Sacral as it answers in a YES or NO type.

Here, this is more of a knowingness or realization that you feel within you

It is important for you to trust these intuitive feelings, even if they are sometimes hard to explain.

Sometimes this can be overridden by overthinking or repeated deliberation can be counterproductive for you

Ego-Manifested

The heart wants, what the heart wants. This is how you make decisions if you’re an Ego-Manifested decision maker.

As a Manifestor with Ego Authority, your decisions are based on your self-esteem and desires.

It is important for you to use your willpower, even if it sometimes goes against the expectations of others. Only in this way can your visions manifest.

Ego-Projected

This differs from the Ego-Manifested, because it’s based on your sense of identity and the direction you are going. If you’re a Projector with Ego Authority, you draw decision-making strength based from the alignment to yourself (values, purpose, and vision). The process fo this type of decision making is waiting for the right invitation is the first crucial step, then the recognition comes.

After that process, you then start with asking yourself the question:

"What do I want? What is in this for me?" and then feel for the pull from your Heart/Will Center towards a yes or no answer.

Self-Projected

A self-projected decision maker comes from your center of identity and direction.

Decisions made in alignment with your true self feel coherent and right. It's about listening to your inner guidance and integrity, and making decisions that truly align with your core and life direction.

When you trust this inner wisdom and authenticity, you'll find that your decisions naturally lead to your true path and purpose.

Mental

Your compass for good decisions is based on the exchange and reflection of your thoughts. Through conversation with others, it's not about receiving advice, but rather about talking through your thoughts and thereby recognizing what’s best for you. This process of verbalizing allows you to gain clarity and make coherent decisions.

Lunar

For coherent decisions, it is often advisable to wait a complete 28-day lunar cycle to feel how different energies affect you. This gives you the space and time to experience the entire range of influences and possibilities before you act.

It’s important to honor that you aren’t a quick decision maker here but when you do it tends to workout fo you, and you’re more aligned in what you’re doing.
